Five Decades of Growth & Innovation
Since 1973 – A Legacy Begins
M/s Aminbhavi & Hegde Consulting Engineers Pvt. Ltd., Dharwad was established in 1973 as a partnership firm by Late Shri V. R. Aminbhavi, a Civil Engineering graduate from Pune, and Shri R. K. Hegde, a Civil Engineering graduate from the College of Engineering, Suratkal.
The journey began modestly in a single 10’ × 15’ rented office at Station Road, Malmaddi, Dharwad, “In Vanavasi Ram Mandir trust Complex”. This space remained with the firm for Over a Decade, serving as a proud reminder of its humble origins.
In the early years, professional consultancy in civil engineering was not widely recognized. The firm initially focused on advisory services in design, construction, and project management, laying a strong foundation built on integrity and perseverance.
1986–1990 – The Rise of Professional Excellence
The firm’s “never say die” spirit began to bear fruit in 1986, marking the start of a phase defined by professionalism and technical excellence.
Its first major professional assignment was for Chidamber Nagar Housing Society, followed by an Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) for Lotte Parashuram.
In 1989–90, the firm successfully implemented pile foundation techniques - a pioneering move in the region. The Malaprabha Cooperative Society Oil Mill at Nargund became the first such project in this part of Karnataka, setting new benchmarks for foundation design in BC soil, later adopted widely across the region.
1990s – Expanding Horizons in Infrastructure & Irrigation
